Virtual Assistants Week starts with daily activities
Our week-long virtual celebration is to commemorate International Virtual Assistants Day this upcoming Friday, May 21, 2021! If you signed up to participate, you would receive daily emails to earn ballots that enter you into draws for prizes. Here is what you can expect for CanScribe’s first annual Virtual Assistants Week:
Monday’s word game starts the week
A word game featuring Virtual Assistant terminology starts the week. You will receive a ballot towards the Daily and Grand Prize just for completing the game. As a bonus, if every answer is correct, participants earn an extra ballot entered to win our Grand Prize at the end of the week.
Tuesday’s word games continue the warm-up
Tuesday brings two word games featuring Virtual Assistant terminology. The same rules apply; you will receive a ballot towards the Daily and Grand Prize just for completing the games. As a bonus, if every answer is correct, participants earn an extra ballot entered to win our Grand Prize at the end of the week.
Wednesday’s scavenger hunt uses the website clues
A scavenger hunt will take centre stage to mark the mid-week celebration for Virtual Assistants Week! CanScribe will email the clues, and participants will solve them using the website: www.canscribe.com. The daily email will detail how to submit your answers and the entry rules are as follows:
- Participants must complete all clues to earn a ballot. You will receive a ballot towards the Daily and Grand Prize just for completing the game.
- Entries with all correct answers earn an extra ballot entered to win our Grand Prize on Friday, May 21, 2021.
Thursday’s final word game closes the week
Before the celebration on International Virtual Assistants Day, the week ends with a final word game featuring Virtual Assistant terminology. The same rules apply; you will receive a ballot towards the Daily and Grand Prizes just for completing the games. As a bonus, if every answer is correct, participants earn an extra ballot entered to win our Grand Prize at the end of the week.
Friday’s live celebrations and contests begin the day
International Virtual Assistants Day arrives on Friday, and CanScribe has a full schedule. Your day will begin with the last of your daily instructional emails, in which you’ll be participating in a Caption This Photo contest and have to answer the question, “What does being a Virtual Assistant mean to you?”
- From 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. PST, we will host our VA Day Celebration: Part One via Microsoft Teams. Our guest speaker will be Rosanna Pelton, the owner of ROSAPEL and a provider of professional administrative services for over 25 years. To learn more about Rosanna before the celebration, listen to episode seven of our podcast, “We Have Answers.” Details of how to join will be in your daily email, and current students will be able to find the information in their Brightspace Calendars.
- From 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. PST, we will host our VA Day Celebration: Part Two via Microsoft Teams. Our guest speaker will be Lesley Pyle, the founder of Hire My Mom. She was a mom who started working from home because she wanted to spend more time with her family. To learn more about Lesley before the celebration, listen to episode five of our podcast, “We Have Answers.” Details of how to join will be in your daily email, and current students will be able to find the information in their Brightspace Calendars.
Appointed CanScribe staff will go over the entries at 11:00 a.m. PST daily and designate ballots for draws through social media channels. CanScribe will announce all winners the following morning on our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), so be sure you’re following us and don’t miss out!
