Self-care means taking time out of your schedule to do things that relax you and refresh your mind. Establish your self-care routine and take it without apology. Do you have a creative side? Try drawing, painting, playing, or learning a new instrument, anything you do is an investment in yourself! Blast some loud music and jam to your favorite tunes, grab that book you haven’t been able to put down, and snuggle up with a cup of tea. Give yourself that mental release.
Changing how you talk to yourself is perhaps the hardest but most rewarding practice for your self-care time. It’s about re-framing your thinking, changing your perspective, and it will have a positive impact on your mental health and your relationships! Start by telling yourself you’re beautiful in the mirror every day or remember when you’re stressed to take deep breaths and ask yourself: do you love yourself enough to let go of the negativity and learn to live more positively? The answer is yes.
