Honestly, banana bread is an all-time favourite. It’s a good way to use up older bananas and it tastes great. Sure, it might not be the most healthy meal, but it does taste great.
Here is what you will need:
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup butter (melted)
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups flour
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
- ½ cup nuts (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- In a medium-sized bowl mash the bananas
- Add melted butter and stir
- Add sugar, egg, and vanilla
- Stir in flour, baking soda, salt, and flour
- Stir in chocolate chips
- Put the mixture in a greased loaf or brownie pan and bake for 45 minutes (you can use this time to study, work, clean up, or wait for banana bread)
- Test your banana bread with a toothpick to make sure it is cooked all the way through.
Remember to wait for the banana bread to cool a little, so you don’t burn your mouth on the ooey-gooey chocolate chips. Banana bread is best served warmed and buttered. Enjoy!
