Meet the CanScribe Team Home » About Us » Meet the CanScribe Team Leadership Team Colleen Chapman President & CEO After completing high school, Colleen backpacked around Europe & Egypt before attending Mount Royal College, SAIT and BCIT. After working for several years in the ad agency biz, she opened up and ran her own business consulting firm and then went on to found CanScribe in 2002 and Docnito in 2010. Away from the office, Colleen enjoys time at home with her family, horses, dog and cat. She loves to travel and experience different cultures, and sponsors many not-for-profit organizations, schools and orphanages worldwide. Colleen is also very dedicated to volunteer work, serving a variety of different associations. Christopher Stewart Director of Sales and Marketing Christopher was born in PEI but raised in Nova Scotia. He moved to the West Coast in 2003 for his post-secondary education. Upon graduation, he went on to start his own photography company where he quickly became recognized as one of the top photographers in BC and was honored as one of Canada’s top 30 under 30 in 2013 and 2014. Through his ownership of a small business, Chris established a passion for Marketing. His innovative and relevant marketing techniques within the private college sector continues to develop as he manages the marketing vision at CanScribe. Chris is blessed with two wonderful boys whom he enjoys camping, movie nights and the increasingly difficult task of cheering for the Maple Leafs with. Justin Gaudet Operations Manager Justin Gaudet was born in Vancouver and moved to Kelowna when he was only five years old. After high school, Justin immediately attended the University of British Columbia – Okanagan and graduated with a degree in Management. In 2015 Justin spent four months on exchange at the University of Birmingham in England. Justin’s favourite moments from his time in Europe were Oktoberfest in Munich and eating amazing food in Rome. Justin is a die-hard Canucks fan and even while in Europe, he would wake up at 3am to watch the games. He also enjoys coaching and playing soccer in his spare time. Although he will miss the freedom of University, Justin is very happy working full-time with CanScribe. Sheila Rennie Controller / HR Sheila is a native Calgarian who moved to the Okanagan in 1990. She has extensive skills in accounting, Human Resources, Office Management, training and supervision of Staff. Her prior experience includes working for a Property Management/ Real Estate Company, Law Firm and the Manufacturing Industry. She is an outdoor enthusiast who likes to keep busy. She enjoys hiking, camping, snowshoeing, golfing traveling and spending time with her two children, family and friends. Jacky Tsui Student Services Manager, Instructor & Trainer Jacky was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. After moving to Kelowna, she joined the CanScribe team in May 2008, bringing with her an extensive background in Customer Service and Sales. Jacky enjoys music, dancing, movies, TV and loves to enjoy the Okanagan sunshine! Andrew Wallace Director of Education Andrew knew early in life that being an educator was clearly in his future. After working in the recreation field as a lifeguard and swimming instructor in his late teens, he realized he had many of the skills necessary to become a teacher. Andrew moved to British Columbia from Ontario, earned two degrees at U.B.C., and began his teaching career at St. George’s School in Vancouver. Andrew has thoroughly enjoyed his professional career as a teacher, principal, and Headmaster in the independent school environment. He now looks forward to bringing his career experiences and enthusiasm to the College. Andrew and his wife Judi have three grown children; Braeden, Lachlan, and Teaghan. The Wallace’s are all loving, living, and learning in the Okanagan. Admissions Deborah Deschamps Admissions Deborah was born and raised in Northwestern Ontario and just recently moved to Kelowna after living in the United States for a few years. Her background includes over 20 years experience in teaching high school in multiple subject areas and a travel/tourism degree. Deborah has backpacked across Europe and the United States with her son who is a recent archeologist graduate. She enjoys helping people reach their full potential and loves to encourage them to achieve more than what they think is possible. She would be happy if you contacted her about the program. Pamela Klaus Admissions Pamela was born and raised in Stettler the Heart of Alberta. She is very pleased to find herself living back in the Okanagan after living in various parts of Canada. Pamela is graduated with a Social Worker Diploma and Fine Arts diploma. Both diplomas have been very useful in her 14 plus years, experience in the Customer Service field. In the summer, Pamela is very passionate about her slow pitch team and considers herself a wine connoisseur. She also enjoys fishing and hopes to someday see the elusive Ogopogo. She would be happy if you contacted her about the program Chelsea Noel Marketing Specialist Chelsea was born in Vancouver and recently moved to Kelowna. She graduated from Simon Fraser University with a degree in Communications after completing some of her education at York University in Toronto. Chelsea has served as a chair member for the BC Association of Healthcare Auxiliaries and is a two-time volunteer for the Vancouver Pride Society. Since graduation, Chelsea has worked primarily in Real Estate Marketing before joining the CanScribe team. On her spare time, Chelsea enjoys hiking, camping, yoga, and hanging around in her hammock. Student Services Carolyn McEwen Student Services Representative Carolyn is a native Calgarian who moved to British Columbia in 1998. Prior to joining CanScribe in 2007, she worked in Real Estate and Marketing. Her background also includes Travel & Tourism and she enjoys travel. Carolyn is committed to helping students from enrolment through to graduation and beyond; she is the definition of Customer Service! At the age of 23 she moved to Toronto for her post-graduate education. Recently Vira moved to Kelowna and has been in love with BC ever since. Her background includes experiences in HR, event coordination and customer service. Vira loves her job and feels privileged to be able to help students on the way to their dream career. Vira is a vegetarian, health and fitness enthusiast. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, traveling and dancing. Information Technologies Cherie August FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION OFFICER Cherie was born in Kelowna and eventually returned after moving around B.C. with her family. She has a degree in Anthropology from the University of British Columbia, but decided that she was better suited to work with numbers. Cherie has over fifteen years of accounting experience in various industries including distribution, pharmacy and property management. She shares her home with her best friend Baci, an adorable long haired Chihuahua. She enjoys reading, movies and hanging out with family and friends whenever possible. Cherie also enjoys travelling and taking road trips and is hoping to make it farther than Las Vegas in the near future.
